Samba is a free & open-source implementation of SMB protocol for integrating servers and desktops running Linux or Unix in environments with Microsoft’s Active Directory directory service. The important thing is to be able to solve. Install and configure SAMBA server on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Jammy JellyFish Linux to share files and folders with Windows 7/10/11 and Linux systems. I wouldn't mind if the answer was by mail or whatever. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND YOUR HELP. I don't really want to get rid of my Ubuntu, because I need to print a lot, which is what matters most to me, if it weren't for that I wouldn't complain. Ubuntu try installing from 0, install samba again, go through all the blogs, manuals etc. ![]() I love free software, and although I have been using Ubuntu for a while, I feel frustrated not being able to fix this, if you could guide me to know what to do, because before the network worked well without problems, I could share the printer and although it did not appear to me In win, I did vehicle their shared folders, but for about 2 months or more, I started having this problem, getting worse for about a month, because the network no longer existed, I only share the internet, but nothing else. It just stays static installing, but nothing happens. When I install from the console, wanting to configure manually, I try to call samba from the dash and it appears as not installed, it asks me for a password to install, I type yyyyyyyyy, nothing !. I have tried it from the console, graphically, adding sharing permissions (automatic), and it only marks that it is already shared, but when wanting to see the network, nothing! ![]() I have wanted to configure the win7-ubuntu 13.04 network, but I have not been able, I already tried from this and other blogs, I have followed all the instructions and nothing.
